Wellness Service Provider Strategy

Goal:

Build effective strategy and plan for successful business owner to manage her time and begin proactive decision making. Wellness service provider—3 divisions.

Situation:

Client needed her time to be effective and focused so her business can grow profitably and sustainably. Every day she has hundreds of opportunities and distractions where she spends her time and energy. Most of her time and energy is spent reacting to phone calls, employees, clients and potential collaborations rather than building her business. Oftentimes, she was impulsive about spending her time, energy and money. She had no plan for how to spend her time, energy or money. She had no strategy for growing her business profitably, which has 3 different divisions. Currently operating at break even. High employee costs due to being a service provider.

Backpocket’s solution:

Kathy had client list every potential business opportunity in the next year. Kathy had client do Time Diary to determine where most of owner’s time was being spent, where distractions occurred. Kathy had client list every current collaboration and assessed whether or not it was an effective use of time, energy and money. Kathy assessed all marketing expenses to determine if they were bringing in new clients and new revenue. Kathy and client developed vision statement for the business and made Top 3 goals for business for next 6 months.

Every decision business owner is asked to make is now held up to whether or not it meets one of the Top 3 goals for the business. If the action does not positively impact one of the Top 3 goals, she does not spend time, energy or money considering it further. Client learned from Kathy how to think strategically and why making decisions proactively rather than reactively are more informed and more effective. She learned not to be impulsive and to think about her Top 3 business goals each time she was asked to collaborate, market, partner or work on something.
