Datacard Group and Entrust today announced it has launched an internal women’s network to help accelerate career development opportunities, as well as cultivate leadership skills for women working at Datacard Group and Entrust. Members will have the opportunity to engage with other women leaders to share in experiences and best practices for professional and personal growth, and take advantage of networking opportunities.

The women’s network will be officially kicked off at an opening ceremony at the Ottawa, Canada office location on Sept. 15, 2014, with a panel discussion from esteemed women executives within Datacard Group’s board of directors – Sheila Penrose and Jana Schreuder. The discussion will focus on the impact a sponsor can have on a woman’s career growth and successful strategies for breaking the glass ceiling, and will be open to all Datacard Group and Entrust women colleagues.

“We are thrilled to be launching a women’s network at Datacard Group and Entrust,” said Lynnette Heath, senior vice president of human resources for Datacard Group. “It’s all about helping women grow in their careers and their personal lives, and we are dedicated to the retention and advancement of women within the organization. By helping encourage women leaders, we are not only creating an environment that recognizes and cultivates career development, we are ensuring Datacard and Entrust’s success going forward with the talent of strong and dedicated women.”

There is a second event that is scheduled to be held on Sept. 24, 2014 at Datacard Group’s corporate headquarters in Minnesota, where Kathy Hansonfounder of Backpocket Strategywill present “Being Healthy, Wealthy and Wise in Your Professional and Personal Life.”

Currently, Datacard Group and Entrust have approximately 2,000 employees in 34 locations around the globe, and the women’s network is led by a diverse group of women spanning various functional departments within the organization. It will continue to hold regular events to ensure women within the organization get opportunities to network and learn from other successful role models in today’s corporate landscape.
