More proof about productivity GOES UP when you SLOW DOWN!

I have seen so many great articles lately on how to increase productivity that I wanted to put them all in one place for you so perhaps the sheer volume of evidence will help you see that multitasking and running at full speed is NOT the way to effectively run a business. I KNOW you think it is the only path possible because there is SO much to get done as a business owner, but that is simply not true. You must have a strategy for building your business with a sustainable (and I don't mean green!) schedule and strategy for your working life. These articles have several things in common.
1. Track your time every few weeks to make sure you are performing the RIGHT tasks and spending the most efficient amount of time on each task.
2. Have a To Do list that aligns with your Big Plan. Sometimes they call these lists other things- but essentially, it boils down to HAVE A PLAN. Every day do only th tasks that get you toward that plan.
3. Slow down and make sure you are doing something every day that revives your energy. We all get drained running a business and the emotional and mental toll definitely eats into our ability to make sound decisions. Slow down and give yourself time to rest, relax AND think. Every Day.
